The Kamloops Arts Council is excited to announce that we are accepting applications for the roles of Actor/Director, Actor/Stage Manager, Actor/Community Engagement Coordinator  for our Children’s Summer Theatre Program the Rivertown Players.

Kamloops Arts Council, Project X Theatre and Chimera Theatre, are currently seeking submissions from actors for three different summer 2017 productions.

Successful audition applicants will be asked to prepare two contrasting, contemporary monologues totaling no more than five minutes together. Applicants wishing to be considered for Project X Theatre or The Rivertown Players are encouraged to present a Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) appropriate monologue as one of their selections.

Kamloops Auditions: Sunday April 23rd, 2017

Kamloops Callbacks: Monday April 24th, 2017

Group Callbacks for Rivertown Players will be from 6:30pm-8pm on April 24th, 2017

Location: Unit 204, 450 Lansdowne Street

*Actors must have attended post-secondary school full time in the spring and be intending to return full-time in Fall 2017; be between 15-30 years old; and be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Contract Dates: 30 hours a week from May to August (14 weeks total)

**Contracts will be subject to funding from Canada Summer Jobs**

Rivertown Players present free, family-friendly theatre 5 days a week (Tuesday – Saturdays) in parks and events throughout Kamloops and area.

Application deadline is 5pm, April 15 2017.
