KAC Spring Grants Deadline April 1

Artists & arts groups invited to apply for Kamloops Arts Council spring grants cycle
Deadline is April 1, 2017
Kamloops, BC — Area artists and arts groups are invited to submit an application for funding for the Kamloops Arts Council (KAC)’s spring grants cycle. The deadline is Saturday, April 1, 2017.
Grants to a maximum of $1,000 may be awarded to artists and arts groups twice each year. Individuals/groups must be KAC members to apply.
Grants are awarded primarily to assist local artists and art organizations to promote their art or further their education. Applications should fall under one of the following categories:
1) Professional Development: To help further the artistic development of an individual artist or arts organization (e.g., apply for a conference or workshop that will advance your artistic path).
2) Community Development: To support artistic development in the community through initiatives such as workshops, master classes, seminars, performances or exhibitions (e.g., apply to produce an event that will benefit the community).
Grants are limited and subject to available funds. Past grant recipients have included visual artist Ana Bayona, director/performer Melissa Thomas, and the Interior Authors Group.
