Art In Public Spaces – KAC Galleries

Submissions are now open for a new Exhibition taking place at the Kamloops Arts Council Old Courthouse Galleries – Fan Works and Fantasy Art. This exhibition is a nod to those who are inspired, create, and participate in making 3D and 2D artwork based on Science-Fiction and Fantasy. This exhibition is open to DND, Marvel, Anime, Disney, Pokémon, Unicorns, Dragons, board games and more. This work will be showcased in the Alcove and Vault gallery spaces at the Old Courthouse between July 5 – 25, 2024.

Please note that all submitted pieces will be subject to a jurying process and your submission does not guarantee acceptance to the exhibit.

The Kamloops Arts Council is looking for various sizes of Small/Medium/Large pieces. Due to this being a public building, we are asking for artwork to be appropriate for all ages and demographics. Please note, that all submissions are subject to a jurying process.

Artists can submit one application/person with up to 3 pieces with the following information.

  1. Title
  2. Size
  3. NFS (as these subject matters deal with trademarks, we ask that unless the piece is original, list it as NFS. However, if you would like to make a private sale, please include your contact information so the buyer can get a hold of you to make arrangements to purchase the artwork).
  4. Artist bio and statement about the piece.
  5. Images of art pieces
