Art in Public Spaces 

Criteria
  1. Exhibition length: Three months to one year depending on venues. 
  2. Small to large (max 36′ wide) pieces are accepted.
  3. Pieces will be chosen with careful consideration of emotional impact on visitors at the location they will be displayed. 
  4. Hanging Requirements – NO eye hook or saw tooth hangers are accepted. Use d-rings and hanging wire on the back of the frame to hang from. Make sure to place each of them the same distance from the top of the work (one quarter to one third of the way down from the top) and in from the edge. 
  5. Works that are for sale will be available for purchase through our KAC office or online in the Shop of the KAC website. (kamloopsarts.ca) There is no registration fee to participate in this art show, but you must be a member of KAC, this is for insurance purposes. Any sales will be split with 70% proceeds going to the artist and 30% commission to KAC.
  6. Artists will be contacted in case of a sale and may be asked to provide a replacement piece of artwork if required.
  7. Artists will be required to volunteer for installation, strike (take down), or art intake, and will be notified upon selection.
  8. Artists are required to fill out the submission form for the AIPS program.

The Kamloops Arts Council office and KAC Main Gallery are located in the city-owned Old Courthouse Cultural Centre at 7 Seymour Street West. We share this wonderful century-old building with the Courthouse Gallery Cooperative and Theatre BC (Mainstage).
