Audrey Meuse
Kamloops, BC

Art Teacher; Fibre Arts, Oil painting and multi media.
Audrey was raised in a very creative family: father, mother, aunts, and uncles all expressed a multitude of talent in many different disciplines. She has early memories of sitting for portraits in her uncle's studio, the B.C. artist Lou Englehart, and developed a love for the oil painting. Her mother was her most important influence, a talented seamstress, and porcelain painter.
After moving to Kamloops from her northern routes, Audrey became a member of both the Kamloops Photo Arts Club and the Kamloops Arts and Crafts Club. Wanting to explore a newfound curiosity for all things fibre she opened her own Weaving Studio on the North Shore in 2009. Audrey later won the competition to provide the City of Kamloops with gift scarves as a promotion for the 2010 Olympics.
The last few years, however, have brought a reawakening of her interest in painting after doing a mural at her business location. Eventually enrolling in a few local art classes with Yvonne Reddick, her love of the oil painting is sparking! Thank you for viewing.
