Whimsical pencil drawings and illustrations are my art of choice and comfort zone, I also create some pencil crayon drawings, some acrylic painting and mixed medium works.
Studied fine and graphic Art at DTUC and Banff School of Fine Art. Worked for 25 years as a graphic artist in the newspaper industry.

Nancy Gruver Van Wagoner is a Canada-based artist and professor of geology, working at the interface between art and science. With her work she shares a lifetime of exploring and imaging the planet for her research to create new ways of understanding Earth and life in all its dimensions. Her work has been exhibited internationally including shows in Australia, New York, Vancouver, and Los Angeles. Gruver Van Wagoner holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the School of Visual Arts in New York, and a PhD in Geology from Dalhousie University, Canada.

Nathan Scott

Born and raised in Victoria, BC, in a military family, Nathan learned that whatever he does, he must do well and according to schedule. In high school, he had a keen interest in mechanics, which he added further experience to upon graduating and moving up to the Yukon Territories where he worked as an aircraft
engineer. For a short time, he honed his people-skills in working the laundry & front desk in a local hotel. Eventually, he gave in to gold fever and spent a few years in the gold fields of the North working heavy equipment as well as working on the Alaska Highway. The lifestyle is a killer though, so he returned to Victoria and pursued life.
This was a turning point in Nathan's life where he truly began again. God got ahold of him and he turned his life over to Him... and that's when things got exciting! He found a lost love for art and began working with a muralist. But murals don't travel and Victoria is the City of Gardens... so Nathan researched
and experimented and created a life-sized gardener made of concrete... which he sold 7 of in his first show! He pursued sculpture and began to recognise that he truly had a God-given gift to sculpt.
At this time, he married and pursued a career as a sculptor of both public and private art. Over time, he sought a better medium to work with and learned cold cast bronze, which is a fibreglass sculpture with bronze powder which will look, feel, and act like bronze for a fraction of the price. There is nothing
like lost wax bronze, however, so Nathan began sending his pieces to a bronze foundry. Over a few years, he had more demand and the foundry was not always able to keep up with the timelines, so Nathan was forced to learn more of the foundry-work and eventually opened his own bronze foundry where he now works with his employees, creating every step of sculpting in bronze.
Nathan's most well-know pieces are of Terry Fox (Mile 0) in Victoria, BC, 'The Homecoming', which is a sculpture commemorating the 100th Anniversary for
the Canadian Navy and displayed downtown Victoria, L.M. Montgomery in Cavendish, PEI, and the Fathers of Confederation in Charlottetown, PEI.
Most of Nathan's sculptures reflect his love for people, young and old, interacting with their particular situations and surroundings. Through his sculptures, Nathan hopes to take you back to a simpler life of days gone by with loved ones, family and friends.
Nathan resides in Knutsford, BC, where he uprooted from the Island and rerooted into cowboy country with his wife and 5 growing teenagers, a multitude of chickens and a family of pigs on a hobby farm. In his spare time, he's learning to be a cowboy.
