I have a diploma of Fine Arts, Langara, a BEd Fine arts major, Social Sciences minor, a 5th year in Counseling, art and dance therapy. I taught, at Salmon Arm Senior High and A. L Fortune Secondary, Fine Arts, Fabric Arts, Pottery, Drama, Social Studies, Computers and developed an award winning, career prep Media program. One of my students, Rick Dugdale, founded Enderby Entertainment and filmed Blackway in Enderby. I am the artist and author of The Pearls of Wisdom Tarot published in 2007, 2008 Seventh house and 2015 rewritten and upgraded images, self published and sold internationally. I am also the Artist and Author of The Sacred Feminine Oracle App published in 2016 Indie Goes apps. And the Sidewayz Tarot self published in 2020. I have exhibited my art in Calgary, Vancouver, Kelowna, Vernon, Enderby, Salmon Arm Art Gallery, St. Georges Grenada, together with the Grenada Arts Council, Three Okanagan Erotic art shows, The Armstrong public gallery, many craft and art markets over the years as a potter. I was a founding member of the Okanagan Artisan's guild, now market, The Salmon Arm Art Gallery, The Roots and Blues Festival, The Enderby Wild Wallflower Community Mural project, The Enderby Arts Council, and, together with my parents, The Okanagan Science Centre. I co-painted, with Rebecca Shepherd, murals at Hanoi 36, Weekends and the Okanagan Science Centre. We also painted murals and playground at a small school in Mt. Moritz Grenada, I am no longer painting murals, but could be a good resource person. Rebecca and I gave a workshop to the arts council in Enderby and then presented a slide show of our trip and art adventures in 2019. I am interested in offering art classes on acrylics, colour pencil, graphite pencils, and mixed media. I have also designed workshops for work places, "Branching Out" was a workshop I gave at the Health Unit at Splatisin in Enderby. I also gave a "Looking Up" workshop to parents at Shihiya school. I have just moved to Kamloops and I am interested in getting to know the arts community here. I am very community minded and can't wait to get to involved in this vibrant community. My dance background is tap and jazz dancing, I also created stage sets for the Performing Art Centre in Vernon.

Ryan Noakes

Musician / Composer
Ryan Noakes was born in 1979 in Kamloops, British Columbia, where he grew up thinking life was a musical with his parents constantly playing and singing along with records. An accomplished singer, he has been a member of numerous choirs and vocal ensembles and performed in several musical theatre productions. Ryan received his BMus in composition from the University of Victoria in 2008. At UVic he was a two-time recipient of the Murray Adaskin Prize in Music Composition. Ryan also helped to establish two new vocal ensembles at the university. After graduating from UVic, he was instrumental in the creation of the Vancouver Island Chamber Choir; as a founding member, manager, and composer-in-residence. In 2010 Ryan relocated to Vancouver and received his MMus in composition from the University of British Columbia in 2012. He returned to Kamloops in 2017 where he plays trumpet with the Kamloops Community Band, transitioned from singing with to being the music director of the Cantabile Singers, and formed the a cappella quartet Slow No Tempo.
