Lowell is a potter, poet & musician who got his start in ceramics at Vernon Community Arts Center almost a decade ago and has since built his own studio, Spiral Garden Ceramics in Salmon Arm where he now works and resides. Lowell is inspired both by his peers, the teachers who have gone before him and by the cyclical patterns of nature. Seeking to balance aesthetic beauty with functionality in his work, he strives to find a natural setting for his pieces to live. Pottery often acts as the introspective and grounding fulcrum to the more outgoing and chaotic nature of his music, the two are substantially different yet fully intertwined.
