Resin and glass
Hello!

I'm an environmental scientist and educator with a passion for flowers! I've enjoyed pressing and preserving flowers for as long as I can remember. However, when COVID-19 struck, I decided to pursue my passion and create a small business preserving flowers in resin jewellery and home decor pieces. Since then, I've begun working with glass and enjoy the challenge.

I was born in Poland and studied theoretical physics at the University of Warsaw. After immigration to Canada, I worked as a scientist on the Aurora Borealis at the University of Calgary. Later my interest changed, and I was involved in creating and running a school for international students. This was a very challenging period in my life; I was exhausted and came close to having a breakdown.
Fortunately, one of my dear friends invited me to her course on the fundamental arts. As a result, I found something special that changed my life. I fell in love with the process of being in nature, profoundly observing the beauty of trees, streams, and clouds. I felt liberated and stimulated and found these artistic trips very therapeutic. After ten years of running the school, I decided to pass it to my family and move to my husband’s ranch, where I have committed myself to art projects for the last twenty years.
I worked in pastels and acrylic for many years, but lately, I enjoy making collages, which have become my primary coping strategy during stressful and challenging situations in my life and the outlet of my negative emotions and the source of positive emotions such as interest, joy, and satisfaction. Making collages enhances my mental flexibility and problem-solving skills and increases my concentration and attention to detail. During this process, I let myself be affected by the external events and the inner world of my emotions, memories, images, and dreams. So, the experiences during the period of making collages have a therapeutic and transformative impact on me.
