A World of Wonders
Wednesday April 20 to Saturday May 7, 2022
Mediums: Acrylic
Artist Biography:
Linda Scarfo has enjoyed drawing and painting for many years with her first formal training in the Visual Arts Program at Northern Lights College in the 1980s. She finds motivation in depicting the wide variety of wildlife and scenery of BC. Constantly striving to improve her technique and mastery of acrylic painting, she has attended workshops led by Michael O’Toole, Terry Isaacs, Perry Haddock, and Debbie Milner-Lively among many others. She is an active member of the Kamloops Arts & Crafts Club and Kamloops Artists and recently joined Artzone at Sun Peaks. Participating in sales and markets, the main product she sells consists of photo art cards of her work.
Artist Statement:
Coming out of the past two years of working mainly in isolation, the renewed opportunity for sharing artwork is exciting. In this exhibit, I have striven to present the widest possible variety of subjects that I enjoy painting, including scenery, animals and birds. I always try to incorporate the new ideas and techniques learned at the various workshops I have attended to make my paintings more interesting and appealing. Both 5×7 art cards and 8×10 enlargements are available at markets over the summer including Sun Peaks Farm Market on Sundays from June to October and Westsyde Farm Market which will hopefully start again in May and run every second week on Saturdays until the end of August.
Linda’s show will be exhibited in the Hallway gallery from April 20 to May 7, 2022
