Seldom Scene and Sometimes Noticed: Images from Off the Beaten Path

Friday, July 29th to Saturday, Aug 20th, 2022

Mediums: Photos on Canvas and Framed Paper.

Artist Statement:
Since moving to Merritt, B.C. I have spent a great deal of time photographing, printing and creating images from my travels and observations. My husband and I have been exploring the Kamloops region, Canada and the U.S. Southwest in our camper. To capture the landscape at its prime lighting times we’ve spent many a night at the side of the road or hiking. These images take you from the grand landscape to the small details that surround us from my perspective of 5 foot 3 and below.

Photography and computer editing are my mediums and I print all of my images at home on inkjet printers. My husband does the framing using locally sourced wood whenever possible. There are countless amazing places and things to be seen if we step off the beaten path which is challenging but worth the effort. These are some of the scenes and images I have been privileged to see and am eager to share them with you. Please linger and observe. Thank you for your time and interest.
