Children 12 and under are called to submit to the Kamloops Arts Council’s annual fundraiser, SMALL//works. With one section of the gallery completely covered with works by those aged 12 and under, we are calling it “Extra SMALL//works”. The show runs from November 29 to December 21. Deadline to submit is November 15, 2024.

Guidelines & Rules – Please read thoroughly

1. All pieces must be for sale
2. Artist receives 50% of the sale, the KAC keeps the other 50% as their fundraiser
3. Artists are required to be a member of KAC for insurance purposes. Children’s memberships are $10/year. Signing up is easy! Click Here.
4. Prices for children’s pieces are recommended to be between $20 – $75
5. Children can submit up to 2 pieces
6. All pieces should be on canvas or framed if on paper with proper hanging requirements (see tutorials below)
7. We are asking for sizes of 10×10″ or 12×12″, but anything under 200″ sq. is acceptable
8. 2D or 3D is accepted
9. 12 and under fall into our “Extra Small Works” category. 13+ should do a regular application form, found HERE
10. Please refrain from submitting copyrighted work such as fanart and images of existing media
11. Pieces that do not have all the following will not be accepted:
               – ID tags attached to the back. They can be downloaded below or filled out day-of upon drop-off. It’s best if they are put in a clear ziploc bag and safetypinned to the wire, or taped to 3D pieces.
              – Secure hanging wire or ability to stand freely (for 3D)
              – A clear image uploaded to this form renamed ARTIST NAME_TITLE_MEDIUM_SIZE_PRICE NOTE: ALL SUBMISSION INFORMATION IS FINAL; No change in price / title is accepted. Please take the time to make sure you are satisfied with prices, titles and all other information on the form before hitting the ‘submit’ tab. Please send only images of FINISHED artwork.

NOTE: Images of the artwork will be uploaded onto our website for sale in our shop and used for promotion on social media.

INTAKE / ARTWORK DROP OFF: November 20 – November 23, 10am – 4pm.

INSTALLATION: November 26 – November 28.
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC: November 29 – December 21

OPENING RECEPTION: December 6 – 4pm – 6pm
STRIKE / ARTWORK PICK UP:  December 21 between 1pm – 4pm
