Membership in the Kamloops Arts Council provides plenty of benefits to artists and art groups (individual and group membership).  We also welcome local businesses who wish to support the arts through our corporate membership package.

Access funding for your project through our KAC Grants.

Advertise your own exhibitions, workshops and events through our channels ~ reach an audience of over 2,000 and counting.

Enjoy opportunities to meet, collaborate and find inspiration from our network of visual artists, performers and arts groups. 

Receive personal invitations to our events and vote at our AGM.

Visual artists: exhibit and sell your work through our Art in Public Spaces program, at the KAC’s galleries, and at Art in the Park on Canada Day (40,000 in attendance), and get discounted entry fees for the Art Exposed Regional Exhibition.

Arts groups: access discounted insurance through the KAC’s insurance provider.

Individual Artist or Arts Supporter

If you are an artist, or you want to support art culture as an individual, this is the right membership. KAC provides artists with opportunities for exposure, networking, professional development, and access to KAC grants.

Family/Artist Collective Membership

A Family is defined as at least 1 (one) adult + children living in the same household, up to 5 (five) people. An Artist Collective is up to 5 (five) people who collaborate artistically (i.e. a band, dance troupe, etc). If your collective is larger than this, please sign up for an Arts Group Membership.

Corporate Membership

As a corporate member, you are supporting Kamloops Arts Council to continue to serve the local artists and arts community. Benefits of being a corporate member include receiving our weekly e-newsletter with the latest information on events/programs that KAC is working on and happenings and opportunities in the community to your inbox; receiving personal invitations to our events; a right to vote at our AGM.

$150/ year

Hardship Membership

We want every artist to be a part of the Kamloops Arts Council, regardless of their income. You may qualify for a discounted or free 1 year membership. Please view the guidelines for the application process.

The Kamloops Arts Council office and KAC Main Gallery are located in the city-owned Old Courthouse Cultural Centre at 7 Seymour Street West. We share this wonderful century-old building with the Courthouse Gallery Cooperative and Theatre BC (Mainstage).

Visit us, our gallery and the rest of the amazing arts groups that are housed under one roof!

Please note: Kamloops Arts Council does not handle bookings for rentals of the Old Courthouse.  For information on rentals, please contact City of Kamloops Arts, Facility Booking, at [email protected] or (250) 828-3707.
