Give to One, Give to Many – Donate Today!
When you make a donation to the Kamloops Arts Council, you’re not just supporting the arts — you’re making our community a more healthy and vibrant place for everyone. Your generosity is going to our Crossing Bridges Program which provides art workshops to social service agencies with senior citizens, at-risk youth, immigrants, people with invisible or visible disabilities, and people who struggle with addiction.
This program helps participants express realities, fears, hopes and dreams, providing them with a chance to connect with others, build self-esteem, and share their voices with the community. Furthermore, the workshops keep individuals returning to the hosting social service agencies that can link them up to the help they need when they need it most. By donating to Kamloops Arts Council this season, you are not only supporting our organization and local artists, but also members of the community and those organizations that help them. By giving to one, you are giving to many.
Contribute to our drive today by purchasing something from SMALL/works, our silent auction, making a donation through CanadaHelps, or making a donation in person. We are a registered charity, and can provide a receipt for donations through CanadaHelps, or in-person.
If you can’t come in, but still want to make a purchase, check out our gift shop! We have some wonderful works for sale and can hold purchased items for pick up.
Agencies which Participate in Crossing Bridges:
Kamloops Immigrant Services – Supports newcomers transitioning into settlement, language, employment, and fostering community connections. They also promote the elimination of racism, and provide our community with information on immigration, settlement, and integration.
Day One Society – Provides hope, help, and healing to youth and adults experiencing issues or challenges with substance use. They also provide support in transitional living in recovery, assisting people with transitioning out of Day One Society.
Gemstone Care Centre – Provides long-term care services to senior citizens, through a culture of safety, quality, and respect.
CMHA Clubhouse – Supports community mental health by helping people with mental health disorders participate in programs and build relationships. These trusted relationships and supports help individuals obtain employment, education, housing, and connections.
Art changes lives. Make a monthly donation of $5, $10 or $25 as a gift in someone’s name this holiday and support a cause close to their heart.
When you make a donation to the Kamloops Arts Council, you’re not just supporting the arts — you’re making our community a more healthy and vibrant place for everyone.
Art changes lives, and the Kamloops Arts Council is proud to make it happen. That means:
- giving a child a first experience in printmaking, music, theatre or dance at our Children’s Arts Festival, leaving an impression that could last a lifetime;
- providing arts workshops to young people at risk and in crisis through our Crossing Bridges Outreach, leading them to an outlet for self-expression and increasing their self-esteem and ability to create connections with others;
- encouraging local artists to become self-sustaining by giving them opportunities to share, show, sell and perform their work; and
- giving local artists a chance for feedback and mentorship, enabling them to advance in their artistic and career development.
Donate today, and help us to build an even better community with the arts at its heart.
