KAMLOOPS ARTS COUNCIL

Why become a KAC Sponsor?

Sponsoring a Kamloops Arts Council program, festival or exhibition is a great way to enhance your company’s visibility and gain “social capital.” A thriving local arts and culture scene is a crucial part of a healthy community, contributing to liveability, economic development, tourism, and much more.

We are excited by the development of all artists, in all forms, at all levels. By sponsoring a program, you’ll be helping us to help others in our community in so many meaningful ways:

  • Giving independence and hope to a female participant in our Crossing Bridges Outreach program at the YWCA Women’s Shelter by helping her discover that her art could provide a means of income for herself and her family.
  • Nurturing and championing new talent by providing opportunities for new and emerging artists to take part in Art Exposed – a first time exhibition for many, and a chance to get professional and public feedback and encouragement.
  • Making a child smile, and maybe even creating an impression that could last a lifetime, when your support enables her to try the electric guitar, acting or printmaking for the first time at our Children’s Art Festival or Summer Theatre Program
