How long have you been doing your art: 10 + years

What got you originally interested in the art you do: I am a curious artist. Abstract art invites me to break the rules, make discoveries and get lost in the creative process.

What is something you have learned about yourself through your art: Art has taught me to trust the process.

What do you enjoy the most about your art: Discovery and risk-taking are an important part of my creative process. I tend to be a physical artist and my abstract paintings are usually improvised, richly layered with marks and medium, sharing my love of drawing and painting.

Why are you a member of the Kamloops Arts Council: I am new to the Kamloops area and am interested in connecting with the local art community.

What are you looking forward to the most in this upcoming year (A special show or project you’re working on): I am looking forward to creating a new body of work in my recently completed art studio.
