How long have you been involved with the Kamloops Arts Council?
I am a new member, I joined in April of 2015.

Why did you get involved?
I got involved with the KAC in an effort to expand my horizons as a performer and to have access to unique opportunities in Kamloops.

Tell us about your artwork:
I am a musician. I enjoy playing guitar, bass and drums as well as being an aspiring recording engineer. You will most likely see me strumming and singing in the sun around town!

What are you looking forward to this upcoming year?
This month I will be releasing my first song (titled “Good Idea”) as a solo artist. It was recorded locally by Paul Michalewicz of Alysian Studios. Fingers crossed that it finds its way to the ears of my fellow Kamloopsians! Also I am looking forward to Art in the Park this Canada Day, where I will be entertaining the thousands of people gathered at Riverside Park.

Why is it important to support the arts?
I think it is important to support the arts because if we don’t nourish the budding talent of our local artists, we will never know if the next Rembrandt or Hendrix or Baryshnikov is among us, waiting to emerge!

What would you say to someone who’s considering becoming a member with the Kamloops Arts Council?
I would say that it is nice to be part of a team, and to have an advocate for the artists of Kamloops! Thanks guys and girls!
