About Us

The Kamloops Arts Council (KAC) is a registered charitable non-profit organization that is devoted to the development and enhancement of the arts in the Kamloops area. We support all artists and art organizations and promote cooperation among them, government and business. We produce high-quality, year-round low- and no-cost arts programs, arts performances, arts workshops and arts events that help to connect our local community and promote our local talent.

What’s On

The City of Kamloops is vibrant with arts activities. From live music to art exhibits, to live theatre performances, professional development workshops for artists of all disciplines… the list is endless and so are the opportunities to get fully immersed. If you are looking for ways to showcase your art, support the arts, enjoy local arts, all things ARTS… this is a great place to start!!

From our popular Art in the Park festival on Canada Day to our Galleries & Exhibitions featuring local artists in all mediums, the Kamloops Arts Council’s year-round low- and no-cost arts programs provide opportunities for local visual and performing artists while making the arts accessible to all.

What’s up Kamloops Arts Council? A lot! Always!
The KAC features ongoing galleries, various annual arts events, professional development workshops, outreach programming, free summer theatre programming, and MORE. See our latest Press releases about all things Kamloops Arts Council here. Another fun thing you will find here is our KAC Member of the Month feature where we randomly select one member each month to get to know just a little bit better and share our new knowledge here with you.

The Kamloops Arts Council relies heavily on its volunteers.  From the 50 or more volunteers needed for Art in the Park – one of our annual events which sees more than 30,000 people through Riverside Park on Canada Day – to ongoing volunteers who work behind the scenes stuffing envelopes and making buttons, the KAC couldn’t do without them.
